Quadrajet off road kit?

Hi,
I built a mud bogger several years ago by mounting a '89 S-10 body on a '75 K-10 4x4 frame. The engine is a pretty much stock small block with a Quadrajet 4 bbl. The problem is my suspension setup is rather stiff, which causes the float to bounce off the seat in rough terrain. This floods the carb over and almost kills the engine at times. I'm entering the truck in a competetion next weekend and would like to find a way to fix this problem before then. Does anyone know of an offroad kit or some kind of mod for the Q-jet that will help?
