This would be a project truck for you guys!!! I have a 97 silverado 4x4 with a vortec 350 and the engine has locked up on me. This is not my every day driver so I am going to go ahead and make it just a mudding truck. I plan on rebuilding the engine but i want to get rid of the computer and whole efi system and put a new manifold on and install a good ole carburetor. And i am also going to install a front axle conversion kit from offroadunlimited.com with 12 inch lifted leaf springs and a dna 60. If anyone has done this carburetor swap or knows what else this project involves please help! Is it possible? Does the 4L60E tranny have to be swapped out? What else would be affected by this swap?
