I say you take the 09 Truck of the year, the Equator, put a SAS on the front end, and put that rig in the UA 09! Haven't had a Suzuki, cough..Nissan in the UA to date...

I think an older model Dodge or Ford project would be a changeup. There is such an aftermarket for the Cheverolets that its not even funny! Something different that might be a little more challenging and use some other resources would be nice, especially to guys with older dodges and fords.

I would really like to see a Cheap build. Not a tube rig. I want to see a real truck. Like a 90's model F-150 or and 90's model explorer. You never see an explorer lifted, and you hardly ever see a cheap build with a F 150. I have a tight budget and can't afford all that fancy stuff for a truck. I can barely afford 35" tires, but that doesn't mean i don't 4x4.

So...just do a nice mild build for under $5 grand for those of your readers who can't afford a $20,000 build. And not some played out rock crawler or tube rig. Use an actual street legal truck.

I'd like to see it based around mud, or just trail riding. Winch, 35 to 38 inch tires, street legal, make it sound good, safety seats, extra lights, small reasonable body and susp. lift, no axel swaps, some type of roll cage (keep it minimal in price), stronger bumpers. Thats should be about it.

I'm a ford guy but it doesn't have to be a ford. I, along with others i'm sure, would like to just see an affordable build on something other than a crawler, or tube rig.

Just what ever it is please make it a good interesting build as always.

Thanks.
Josh

I would like to see an older Yota Rav4 with fullwitdth axles and some 37's. Or a honda CRV the same way, this is what  would like to see as the ultimate adventure vehicle. Possibly a early 2000ish chevy tarcker they are cheaper now and amazing off road platforms.

build a samurai hands down the most fun and econmical little wheeler out there. No need for giant axles and giant motors, a little stretch in the wheel base some dana 44's(doesn't dodge sell them) and a decent 4 banger would make in grand. pretty please

ive ben pushing for a s10 build up. maybe a crew cab. it would be a great camping rig. put a small lift on it keep the ifs and some mud tires. maybe 33s. the crew cab has decent interior room for passengers and a small but usefull bed for cargo. if u wanted a roof rack could be added for more storage and/or spare tire carrier and light bar. maybe a costum truck cap thats slanted from cab to tail gate and louvered so you could see out but not in and plexy glass with a waterproof sealant to make it weather tight. any thoughts?

Hi everyone,

I need help with my project.  I'm building an international travelall.  A good friend did the lift and we put 38 inch tires.  I have a dana 44 in front and dana 60 in the rear and I have a 350 chevy motor for it.  Here is where I'm having difficulty deciding.  I have a 460le tranny with transfer case attached that I can use but I've heard this tranny/t-case set up is not the best.  I'm planning on doing mild trails nothing too crazy.  I have a 400 tranny with no t-case, I would have to buy a np205 for it or something like that.  The question is do you guys believe that the 460le tranny/t-case will be fine or it would be better for me to use the 400 tranny and look for the np205 t-case?  Your input it's greatly appreciated, I'm new at 4x4 and I want to do it the right way but of course I don't want to spend money if I don't have to.  Thanks.
