Hi everybody,

I just bought my 2001 Dodge Durango 4.7 4wd and now i want to customize it to go off-road it's my first experience with jacking a truck so i would need advice on my futur project on it.

could you tell me if the setup i thought is compatible and will be compatible in the futur.

So here it is...
i want to start with a 3inch body lift with front and rear rancho rs9000 shock. does the shock have to be taller!? cause im planning a 3inch suspension rancho or a 5.5 tuff country also i want to order 33x12.50 or 35x12.50 on it next summer does a 3inch body lift will be enough!? and finally i want to change my ball joint and tie rod do i have to order special thing or is there a set coming with the suspension kit!?

Thx for the info
Franck

one of the first things you can do since the Durango has a spring under suspension on the back is you can convert it to spring over that will give you a bit of lift. after that with just the body lift you can fit 33's under it. I would actually recommend going with just the 5.5 inch tuff country lift, cause I have been told not to mix a body lift and a suspension lift.

Well i'm not sure about it...i think i've seen a lot of durango's having both lift but im not really sure...if some people could post more comment.......

I think i'll go for a 3inch rancho but i read on a site that the 4.7's model and the Factory wheel (15¨) have to be replace if there's someone that could answer me about that it would be great!

Thx
