My name is Maurice and I have recently gotten really into off roading. Although I'm pretty new at this and I have yet to build my own 4x4 machine. I want to start off with something that will get me through the basic trails and be able to take me muddin. I have a 1993 Chevrolet s10 extended cab 4x4 with a 4.3L v6 engine in it. It is currently on 29's with a 2" suspension lift. I want to be able to lift it higher but I cannot find any Suspension lifts higher than 2" for it. So I have been thinking about a cheap body lift so I can clear 33's but that would just look awful and it wouldn't really do much for me except get me a little more clearance from the ground. So any tips for me would be fantastic. I'm on a high school budget so its not really much. Thank you for your time

Unless you're a fabricator, have a good budget, and willing to get rid of both the front and rear axle assemblies, it doesn't make any sense to spend any money on an S-10's suspension.
The front axle cv joints won't tolerate a lift. That's why you can't find lifts for an S10. Both the front and rear axles are sized, strength wise, for about 31" tires max. 33's are out of the question for wheel'n. Besides the cost of the tires, you also need to factor in the cost of changing your axle gear ratio. If you think your truck is not the most powerful now, put on some 33's and watch your fuel mileage and your get-up-and-go become dismal without a gear change.
Put on some good 29" mud tires and go have a blast!
If you want to build something, you need to start with a better platform. And that would be the least expensive thing to do. You could build a really cool S-10 for sure, but not on a budget!

i have a 97 sonoma ext cab with a 6" superlift. i can run 33's on it. but then i was thinking about 35's. so i then put a 2" body lift. it is a step side , the only mods. i will have to do is in the front cab. becouse i took the bottom plastic off the box and the front bumper will be replaced. with most likely square tube.
