hello i am new and i have a few questions bout the scout. just bought a 74 scout 2 and it used to start until there was an electrical fire. the fire was only on the inside of the hood and burnt everything up to firewall. so far i have new distributor cap and rotor all new hoses,spark plugs and wires, and ignition coil. will i need a new wiring harness and what other parts would be suggested? any help is appreciated. thank you.

I'm not sure if that vehicle had a harness per say... but you will also need new battery cables, ground wires, starter solenoid, wires to the starter, does it have an electric choke on the carb? You'll need that too. And pretty much anything rubber.

Good luck getting it running, fires are no fun!
