I've got a 93 f-150 that I swapped out the newer junk parts for the older stronger ones. I am having trouble figuring out what t-case i have. It was out of a 74 f-100. I have been told 50 different things. I know it's 5 gears. 4hi-2hi N 4lo-2lo. It is not full-time. I believe that its chain driven. Any help would be appreciated.

The NP 205 is a gear drive.  The NP 203 is chain drive. The shift pattern you listed doesn't match a 205 (4HI-2Hi-N-4Lo) and the 203 shift pattern is (HI Loc-HI-N-Low-Low Loc).  Clean off all the grease and you just might find a tag on the case on the rear of it.  If you want to get into describing details there are other ways to determine what you have.  I would guess that you have a 203 that had the part time kit added to it from a previous owner.
