I know this is a 4X4 forum, but I just bought my son a 1990 F-150 2 wheel drive. It's his first truck and we just want to put slightly bigger tires and give it a little more aggresive look. I was thinking about just a small body lift which is cheap and maintains the factory chasis set up to add the tires. Plan "B" would be spring spacers (2") in the front and blocks in the rear. This is primarily about looks, so we're not going to do a full suspension lift. Also, since it's 2 wheel drive, it will never really be off-road except the ocassional packed dirt road (dry) or grass fields where we hunt.
What's the consenus regarding he above scenario? Body or spacers?
Thanks in advance for all your sugestions. This was a "barn find" and we will post pics as we go along.

if you arent going to do alot of offroad i'd just suggest getting a better looking set of tires and wheels. This is a link to a tire fitment guide it will tell you how much lift you need to clear the tire sizes you are looking for. http://www.ntwonline.com/webpage.cfm?SID=1&Webpage_ID=110&Category_ID=941.If you do need to lift it a body lift is a cheaper way but you have to make sure you dont mess up shift linkages and ground wires. And blocks are never a safe bet lol.

Generally body lifts are frowned upon, but in this case either way will do exactly what you are looking for so go for which ever route is more affordable.
