I'm getting ready to buy new tires for my '03 1500 Silverado and I'm scraching my head to fingure out a way to put 285's underneath it with out really having to buy to much for it. I turned on the torsion bars once to level and fit the 265's on it but now I want bigger ones! I'm pretty experienced in the fabrication world but this is my daily driver and really don't won't to hack to much of the body if I don't need to. Any sugestions out there?

i put a 2" body lift on my truck. but it is a 5 speed and push button 4 wheel drive so i had small things to do. extend gas filler line , steering colom , i still have to extend the lower rad. hose (it is tied back away from the fan right now) there was no linked to extend for me.

I also have a 5-speed but with a manual shift transfer case. Did you buy a two inch body lift kit or fab. up your own? Did you have to extend anything on your shift linkage?

i bought the kit. i got the phone number of the computer. i cant rember the company right now. i called around to a couple companys. i got it for $177. and some change. that was about 10 bucks cheaper than every one else. the center plastic you have to remove and cut a little off. back to the edge of the change tray. then you can shift into 2nd, 4th, and rev. but not to bad. it says it takes 8 - 12 hrs. it took about that , i did mine in the parking lot out side of my apt. becouse up here in the mountains it is hard to find a garage to work in. plus a garage up here is rented out. only the rich park a car or 4 wheel in there garage. so the couple months that they are here they can drive. in the kit you should get linked extions. just ask them. becouse you tell them year, make, model, motor, tran, 4 wheel shift, ext., right now i am 8" up 6 sup. 2 body rims and tires are next. i was going to do dickey(?) creek rims but i see them on a few trucks so now i need to find something else tires are going to be BFG size 33's or 35's not sure yet.......
all you need is MMMM UUUU DDDD ....
