ok, so i plan on building a wheeler .everyone says get a jeep!and say a yota.now i know that i can get a 1980-85 yota w/solid axle and go from there.but i want to get a newer yota with ifs.i want to cut it out and sas it(for a fun hobby project!)it might seem dumb considering i could already buy a vehicle w/solid axle but i want to do it my self.i was thinking on buying a 96+ yota taco e x-cab,3.4v6 and a manual, and then sas it.37 toyo's or whatever and nice flex is great. but w/my old 4runner it wasnt the same as the solid axle . so i want to sas it. any suggestions on how to do it or where to buy the stuff at to do it?should i swap both front and rear axle's? D60's? D444's? 5.29 detroits front and rear?lockers? any ideas of what i should do?

Look up... Project Vehicles and Tech... browse through there or even use the Search tool... we have pretty much all the info you will need to SAS your Yota.

Keep looking. Look at "Clampy" for example. Most Yota's are the same, the ideas don't need to be 4-Runner specific.

i know.i was goingto build a tacoma...but i think im going to find a 76 chevy w/a 14bolt rear end and a D60 front.revbuild them if they havent been.and get a cj5 or 7.put those under it.put my crate 350 in it with a th350. but im not sure what tcase to use.a nt-205? and should a use a double t-case i think thats whats its called?so i can get a even better gear.and still drive on the road and stuff.

yeah.the only other idea i have is to make a SAS s10 or 2door s10 blazer.or a sas 1990-95 4runner and drop a v8 and D60 front and rear like isaid w/the jeep.if i do the s10.i will still use full size axle's and proably put it up on 42's .nah.lol.jk. but at least 40's and 350-355 v8 .mabe an auto

you could also buy my truck lol 83 chevy stepside, 350 blown, headers, msd everything, dual flowmaster, d60s (front with 35 splines inner and outer shafts) 4:56 gears and detroit lockers, 5 bart beadlock wheels, tires are already worn up so they dont count but are 38x15 (I need money & would like to see someone that really knows what it is driving it) any question eberthcarrillo@hotmail.com
