i have a 88 pathfinder that came stock with a z24 2.4 in it wat all would i have to do to put a 3.0 in it?

3.0 out of what?
First you'll need to verify that it will fit. Then you will need all the electronics from the donor truck. The transmission and transfercase from the donor truck, along with probably the radiator and other accessories. Then cram it in and wire it up. A lot of work.
If you are going to go through all of that why not put in a newer 4.0?
