I know Ford heaters are the best but does anyone have any tricks for to heat up a pickup quick in cold winter weather for my 2001 F-150 XL 4x4 supercab shortbox 4.6 L engine?

Drive fast? Or let it idle?

That will help keep your battery warmer, which is a good idea.
What about an engine block heater, do you have one of those already?

Plug it in and see what the coolant temp reads after an hour? I've never had to use one so I don't know exactly.
