Well, my cousin is going to sell me his 1976 Chevy step-side truck this week. Its got a 350 in it, gonna throw a set of 36.5's on it and hit the woods.
I've rode with plenty of people before, but its a lot different when your in the driver seat. Just wondering if anyone had any tips or hints to help me out for the first time I actually drive in the woods. We got some pretty nice trails over here in Alabama we ride, and some pretty rough ones I know for sure I won't even attempt anytime soon.
We have one, its a rock hill just about straight up and halfway in the middle of it, is a big rock sticking out that you have to make sure you get your front tires over so you don't either flip back or start rolling back, cause once you start up it, you either go up it, or its gonna hurt if you try to come back down it.
Basically, I wanna go have fun, but don't wanna look like a complete idiot my first time out. And I know I surely don't want to go out there by myself.

Air down, and take it slow. You'll have fun and learn a lot. And the biggest thing to remember is that if you don't feel comfortable with an obstacle, don't do it, that's how people get hurt and metal gets smashed.

You didn't mention any kind of lift... you aren't just going to throw 36"s tires on a stock k10. Are you going to hack the fender (remove rear)..?
I agree.. take it slow and easy. Don't let anyone convince you to do something you don't want to. It's your rig/life, not thiers. Never wheel alone.
