I may have dreamed this but I recall Pewe suggesting a UA that would be for trucks running less than monster tires.

I would be all over this as getting much larger than 33's in a Land Rover Discoivery II entails having a larger wallet than I do now.

That's my $0.02.

Thanks,
Stu

between the 4 parks here in Michigan , We have talk about putting on a U.A type event . A tour of the parks with the spirit of the U.A.  I can say we would be glad to host a U.A for the small guys. With the opening of Bundy Hill Off Road Park in Jorome Mi.  Us at Rocks and Valleys in Harrison Mi. , Twisted Trails in Copemish Mi. and Turtle Ridge in the U.P. on Drummond Island , We could put on a great week long adventure. This would cover only around 300 miles if a one way trip or make it a two waymaking it close to 500 miles, with some state and federal land trail runs between the parks working your way up from Bundy Hill to Turtle Ridge , Then back down across the bridge to Twisted Trails. then finaly too ROCKS and VALLEYS here in Harrison. There are plenty of sites along the way and 100's of miles of trails to see here in Michigan.

More than happy to work with 4Wheel on the details and routeing.Ron P.

wat would be the other vechile requirements on this one? other than the obvious like licensed driver, insured vechile, street legal, ETC. i mean like as far as mods go. would lockers be a requirement? im looking into a 3in lift and maybe some 32s. i dont have locker (no money for them rite now) i would be interested in such an event.

I would think that it could be a REAL world rig event. So what you have is what you have. A winch would most likely be a must . Other wise there could be alot of down time pulling or relying on someone elses winch to get you threw.400 buck mile marker is better than nothing. A locker is easy to have on one end. Can we say HOBART> Legal. and road worthy fire protection and tow points. Tree saver and such as well.

Are you kidding,, I would gladly enter my truck in a real streetable truck event. Trucks that are driven at least 20 miles a day on average (mine is driven 120m a day),A truck that you would put thru a D.O.T. test with confidence. I have an 85' Dodge 1/2t short bed with a lincoln locker in back (stock axles) 33" MTR'S mild lift, stock but fresh running gear, and I have no problems scaring the *** out of myself with it. It might be a crowd pleasing event.......Hellllllloo4WOR.

This would be cool! IT will show  how capable smaller rigs can be with drivers who know what ther are doing instead of jumping in a fully custom rig with huge hp and huge tires and just attacking stuff like wild animals. Keep the rules close to the same and keep it as close to daily driver kind of vehicles. Love the mag guys! Keep up the good work!

I will talk to some of the other park guys and post back up what they think. Or have them log on and add their thoughts. A adventure with no  prize or competition is easy to pull together. Will just need to figure out a route. and I know of a few shops aleready willing to give up some sponcer goodies.  Even if a Mag wouldnt want to pick it up the first year it could still be done.. Maybe someone from anouther area could rally some places in their neck of the woods to put something together as well. Then more people could get involved with one  closer to home. Jason can you pass a few hints to the Editors of the truck group. PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will work on some routing for a possible Michigan parks event. May try to do a schedule of daily plans as well. It may be fun pretending to be Rick P. This should be some what easy to organize. as a possibility . I have done a few business plans before and it should be similar.Just as a event not a proposal.

Sent a message to Wess from Twisted Trails and he is willing to help out as well. I have no prob doing some leg work to help out if the mag. wants to get involved. I think a early spring event would be a gret way to start the summer or a Aug event to end a great summer.
