I'm not new to automobiles but new to 4 wheeling i got a 1973 Chevy k10 with a set of 4.11's rear and 3.73's up front... well the previous owner who was an idiot never changed the front. I have a rear axle sitting at my house which is a 3.73 but it is a 12 bolt I am wondering if it is possible since there the same gear to throw the 12 bolt in the rear and keep the 10 bolt up front. any help would be awesome thanks guys and gals

So you want to put the 12 bolt that you have, that has 3.73 gears, in the rear in place of the current 12 bolt? Yes, that will work just fine.
