I have a 77 Power Wagon club cab and am wanting to make a fullsize trail/recovery/mud rig. I got it running and seem to have some wire problems. There is a starter solenoid that was added before me from a ford that melts wires. Also I am having trouble finding parts for the body to make it legal. Does anyone know of somewhere to look or do I just need to sell and cut losses? Also I need interior parts.

As far as the starter solenoid goes take it off . you will need to get a wiring diagram to chase down the problem but it sounds like the starter relay was bad or the solenoid on the starter was bad . Try replacing the relay and do yourself a favor and buy the mini starter for the newer magnum , its a bit more expensive but worth it . I don't know what body parts you need but in Az. they don't rust so we hit the local wrecking yards for what isn't being manufactured , ask them to check their hot line for parts you can't find , also  JC whitney does have some parts available . I hope this helps and if you like the truck fix it

I would also check for a good ground.

That's a cool truck, whatever you do don't sell it!
