I have a '94 toyota extended cab pickup on 35X12.50 BFgoodrich All-terrains and its lacking in torque with its stock 3.0 Liter V6. What performance upgrades or upgrade would be right for this engine?

Although they are a pain to put on, I would say headers and an exhaust system. I have a 94 Toy with the 3.0 and I will soon invest in headers. I would also say you may need to re-gear if you are having trouble. Is your motor running poorly at all? Because I did not have much trouble turning 35x16.5 Boggers with mine. I have 4.88 gears and a cold air intake with Flowmaster muffler. Also check with MSD ignition and upgrade your ignition system. If you are still not happy, you could either upgrade the cams, or just swap in a bigger motor. There are plenty of kits for chevy engine swaps, but personally I am going to swap in a 4.0 liter Tacoma V6 when I blow my engine.

Swap in a 3.4 and put a TRD Supercharger on it. Seriously. The 3.0 was a terrible engine to start with... sorry.

I wouldn't call it terrible. I like it more than the 22R as far as torque and power. I know call me crazy. I still like the 22R because it is a great motor and very durable. I have enjoyed my experience with my 3.0, but they are difficult to work on. Mine has great power, but will admit it pales in comparison to the 3.4.

Oh and I have owned all 3 engines and currently have a 1986 4Runner with the 22R and 270,000 plus miles and the 1994 with the 3.0 and 189,000 miles. I sold my 1998 Tacoma with the 3.4 V6 because it was becoming a money pit and couldn't bring myself to part with the 1994 because it was my first truck.

Ok, maybe not terrible.. but not great.
The 22r and 22re are absolutely bomb proof. Awesome little engines. The 3.4 is a screamer! And the 3.0... eh... it works... most of the time. I know more people that have blown head gaskets and cracked heads on that engine than people that have 'liked' them. So take it with a grain of salt... if it works for you then keep on running it!

I had a 3.0L in my toyota and I just swapped it out for a 4.3L TBI with a 350 Turbo Tranny with the Toyuota T/C. I wouldn't go back and change a thing. The motor is awesome in the truck. GM and Toyota should have gotten together and did it from the start. It sure beats the 3.0L and probably the 3.4 also hands down

4.3 would be fun in there for sure!
But at that point why not put in a Toyota 4.0. It will destroy the 4.3 any day.

I really want to find a 4.7 V8 in a Tundra to swap in. Would rather put a 5.7 in but they are a little hard to find right now.
