This is my first time making a post.  I have a work in progress 85 CJ-7 with a beefed up 350 on 33". The axles are stock AMC 20 and Dana 30 wide track. I recently blew out the rear end and am looking to upgrade.  I came accross some fairly new front and rear 44s off a wrecked TJ Rubicon for a great price. They include rotors and calipers as well.

My questions are as follows: (Please feel free to answer anything you can; or add suggestions, I am open to anything)

1) Will this be a fairly clean swap other than modifying mounting brackets and suspension tabs?

2) Will the TJ 44s be the same width as my stock wide track axles?

3) I upgraded the tie rods and drag link earlier this year.  Will I still be able to use them?

4) Is there anything else I need to be aware of?

Thanks in advance for any of your thoughts.

1) Yes, it would be a pretty easy swap. Chop off the coil mounts, weld on spring perches, done.

2) No. The 44 will be wider. Your best bet would be to get a matching one for the front.

3) Probably not. They will need to be longer.

4) You may need different u-joints, brake lines, and possibly a proportioning valve. Besides that it should be an easy swap.

Keep in mind that the TJ axles will have a driver's side diff.  If you do end up swapping both axles, a new T case will be necessary.
