rear end swap from 8.8 to 9 inch

hi my name is derek i have an 1989 f-150 standard cab short bed with 5.0 and m5od trans with an 8.8 rear end with 3.55 gears which i destroyed and i have a ford 9 inch from a 1982 f150 that i would like to replace my 8.8 with can it be done

Yup. It's an easy swap. Make sure your spring perches line up, get the proper u-joint, and bolt it in. Done.
