I have a 64 chevy short bed 2 wheel dr. I need to know if this truck can be made 4 wheel dr. and if so what's involved ? I'm getting ready to restore this truck and need to know which direction I'm going in . One guy told me the frames are the same for 2 or 4 wheel is this true , thanx

It would be a TON of work. Worth it if you're going to wheel it. But if it were me I would probably just restore it as is and enjoy the classic truck. Then buy a Jeep or something to wheel and beat on.

www.chevytalk.org has a decent 60-66 Chevy truck forum. I imagine someone there can clarify if the frames are the same between 2wd and 4wd.  I agree it would require quite a bit of work and perhaps $$$ and definitely time.
