Hello All, I have a fleet of late model Tahoe 4X4's that I need to lift the front end about 2". I have read and decided on using a leveling kit to do this. Is there any safety issues or concerns I should know about? Thanks in advance!

You're also going to run into accelerated ball joint and CV wear, but at what rate is debatable.

Wow that's a lot of kits.

I would say if you keep the total amount of lift provided to 2" or less, you shouldn't run into any greatly accelerated wear problems with the balljoints and CV axles.

I would also say that if these trucks have torsion bar front suspensions (I know at least up to '06 has torsions), you might even be wasting your money buying kits for them. At the rear of the torsion bars is a preload adjuster bolt that can be used to attain the same 1.5-2" of lift for free. The kits only allow you to go up further, which just puts you closer to having issues with the balljoints/CV joints.

Thanks for the infor, GMC ? Chevy switched over to coil over shocks with the 07 models. So far we have not had any issues with them but a couple of my drivers were worried about handling & the vehicle becomming top heavy. So I thought I would look & see if there were any  Safety issues I was missing. Thanks again for all the input
