I have an 04 wrangler i would like to put 33's on. i'm looking at putting on a 4" lift. this is the first dealings i have had with a jeep. what would be a good lift that is worth the money. also something that can be done in the backyard with basic tools and a little common sense. is primarily used as every day driver but would do some mild to moderate offroading but nothing drastic. with prices ranging fromm $500 for rough country to $1000 for fabtech and evryone else in between one is left to wander so im asking people who have or know someone who have firsthand experience with a lifted jeep. thank you for any suggestions

Well if I were in your shoes I'd just do a 1" body lift and a 3" lift to save money and avoid having to get a slip yoke eliminator and CV shaft. Check out www.rustysoffroad.com they have some good stuff, couple of my friends are using their lift kits and have had no complaints. By the way, Rusty's says that their 3" kit will clear 33's by itself so a 3" lift with 1" body lift should give you plenty of room.

if the 3in kit clears 33s, than dont bother with the body lift. i do agree on rustys having some great stuff for jeeps. and their prices are fair. go with a kit that has replacement springs rather than spacers if your thinking of any sort of off roading. its worth the extra money. and a kit from rustys mite run you just around 400- 500 with springs, shocks and other parts that may be required for your vechile.
