I am looking in swaping my 1/2 ton axles with a set of 8 lug 3/4 ton axles to get ride of the central axle disconnect. I was told you need to keep the disconnect or the transfer case will not work . Is there a way around this my ramcharger has lock out hubs so I dont even know why it has the disconnect anyway ????? Why does the transfer case need a vacum in the first place it just seams to be a very odd setup to me ????

Frist you may want to tell us what year your truck is. What axles you got.
