Im just curious if there's any laws reguarding fender flares in NY state, I cut my front fender flares off to accomodate my larger tires and I'd like to avoid using flares if possible. Any help is appreciated.

I couldn't find anything reguarding fender flares or how much of the tire can stick out from the fender wells. My tires stick out about 2.5 inches past the fender so it's pretty noticable.

Did you read through this page?
http://www.nysgtsc.state.ny.us/equi-vt.htm
It may or may not be there, I don't feel like reading it all.
The other two options is to ignore it and plead ignorance since there is nothing on the books about it.
Or call up the local police station and ask.

Yeah there wasn't anything and I even looked on a few other sites but nothing, think I'll just play dumb if I ever get pulled over.
