Big PROBLEM need help fast

well ive had my jeep for almost a year now its bein running great until about 2 months ago i felt it skip when i pushed the gas. i thought nothing of it then it did it again about a week ago and i still thought nothing of it well now it will do it while im driving but then catch right back, but it shakes really bad in between about 40 mph and 45 mph. i have no clue what is wrong or even how to check what could be wrong with it. i checked out everything and it looks like there is power steering fluid coming out of my front gear box. also while its in between 40 and 45 and also when its parked it shakes side to side. Has anyone else had this problem or does anyone know what it could possibly be PLEASE help.

I would check the fuel filter first for the skip. What kind of jeep is it? I had a ford truck that the egr valve went bad on it and did the same thing but when I tried to drive it it would shut down like the fuel was turned off. Does the shake seem like its from the motor or have you hit something lately that could have knocked it out of alignment, busted a tire belt, or bent a axle shaft?
