my dad and pop always talk about how grips spurs were the it tire back in the day. id like to get a new set for my old gmc for an old school look. do any of the older guys recall how long/miles they last? id ask them but theyve each had sets that switched from truck to truck so they have no idea. One set around here they said was like 28 years old, still decent tread, just a tad bit dry rotted but still on an old jeep.

My father ran a set on an old willys jeep until the tires fell apart because of dry rot. He used the Willys during hunting only so i would give them about 5 years or so. They are a good tire and you can depend on them for about anything.

yeah i was hoping and thinking about that, and thanks for answering. i have a set of 35x16 boggers that were free and basically bald to begin with and id like to find a set of tires to replace them that are cheaper and last a decent while. i here alot about them from the older crowd in town but never can say mileage wise.

Life of the carcas due to rot depends on enviornment. I remember the grip spurs only being good for about 15,000 miles tho.
