My 2003 Toyota Tacoma will not go into 4 wheel drive in cold temp. Does any one have any solutions?

Do your 2003 Tacoma have manual or automatic transmission? If manual, consider using synthetic gear oil for transfer case, as the transmission. SAE75w-90, but "Royal Purple is suppose to be best, but expensive. There are cheaper synthetic gear oils available.
