There is no greater place than being in the outdoors but quickly looking at my local weather and seeing a scorching 104 degree weather (and I have to say it feels like it is 110 but I am no weather man) that wheeling in the middle of the day is far reaching. Now, this is coming from Californian that feels 89 degrees is too hot! So do any desert wheelers have some tips to share for those wheelers looking to define mother nature!?

I am no desert wheeler but start by using sunscreen and drinkin lots of fluids(NOT alcohol!). My 4yr old sun got sunburnt last weekend cause the sunscreen washed off so get the waterproff kind or put it on more than once. When you sweat you are losing body fluids drink water or sports drinks to replace them. thats about all i got, anybody else???
My bumper sticker says "NOT A HIPPIE JUST A WELL GROOMED MOUNTAIN MAN" LoL

I'd like to add some advice gained through experience. Don't go alone!!! A fun day can become a nightmare or worse if something happens and you can't get any help. Also, let someone know where you're going and when to expect you back. On a less serious note, if you feel hot your ride is feeling it too. You don't get much airflow through your radiator when you're hillclimbing at 2 miles per hour, so watch your gages if you have them. Be safe and have fun.
