I have a sbc 406 with flat top pistons, 5.7x rods, vortec heads, (with heavier springs new valves) air gap intake, holley 750 carb, Its in an 86 chevy 410 gears 400 turbo trans 37 inch military tires. I run the local mud bogs and am looking for a good cam. I like to run in the 5000 to 5500 rpm range. Can someone please help me with suggestions and what cam to use thanks???  I should also add that I would like to run a hyd flat tappet cam

I would look at comp cams or crane cams they both put off a good product, and they'll have a cam for your operating range.
