I have a 01 grand cherokee and im not sure where to go for parts I want to lift it 2in or more I also plan on putting this thing through some nasty stuff so any info on parts that are prone to breaking would be helpful.

I have a 2000 wj with a 2inch lift and 265/75/16 tires. It's more about what you want to spend. I needed new shocks before I lifted it. I bought the rough country 2 inch lift with shocks. I had to add some washers to the sway bar links. My rear control arm mounts were shot so I replaced them. The bar that came with the kit on the bottom of the passenger front shock broke before I'd left my driveway in the second mud hole. I forced the factor bars into the new shocks. It's been a lil over a year and starting to feel the death wobble which it had before the lift. I need to adjust my track bar. A factory track bar does not have an adjustment to it. So I will have to buy an adjustable track bar, or a drop bracket, or relocated by other means. The track bar keeps your axle in the center. As you lift a vehicle the track bar will move your axle to the lift or right depending if its the front or back axle. If you have a slip yoke transfer case the drive shaft can slip right out in harsh use. The slip yoke transfer cases are prone to drive line vibrations when lifted. At 3 inch of lift I recamend a transfer case drop or adjusting your stock pinion angles. I like these places www.fatbobsgarage.com, www.rustysoffroad.com, www.kevinsoffroad.com, and www.ironrockoffroad.com, and jc whitney.

You could also check ou rubiconexpress.com, I have a '93 Grand with a 4.5" lift and 1.75" coil spacers on it and the kit works well with swaybar dissconnects, the kit is also pretty stout and I'm a stickler when it comes to beefy/quality parts. I've called for tech services before and the staff was helpful while being courteous, I'm impressed, you may be too. I also have a track bar that I believe was included with my kit and it's a nice piece also. I have a 231 transfer case with a RE slip yoke eliminator kit and a quality aftermarket CV driveshaft, I haven't had any leaks or vibrations from my transfer case YET. Rubicon Express seems to put out a nice product though, check it out & good luck!

thanks for the info it looks like you have more lift than i will ever need. I live in fl so most of my wheeling is in sand and some mud no big rock climbing in my near future im also on a tight budget right now so $1500 is well out of my range im happy with it so far just needs more clearance and lockers
