i want to put some bigger tires on my chevy silverado 1500 2009 i was looking at some 33" on 17" rims would they fit the wheel well or would they be too big for my truck without lifting it i currently got stock 265x70x17

Yout truck has 30" to 31" on it now probably. It should fit but it may rub. I have 20" rims with 275/55 tires on mine and it is 31.5" rubs the inner fender well when turning sharp. What size tires are you looking to put on? You could maybe go a little wider with a 275/70 or a little taller with a 255/75 but those wont be as wide as your current tires. It also depends on the tires you choose.
