i have a 91 trooper with a 4 cylinder and i would like to get either more power out of the little thing or just swap the motor. i have a cold air intake and a new full exhaust. i heard you can put many different motors in there. i was thinking about just swapping a motor from another trooper that has the v6 but i have heard much about how reliable they are. i would like some ideas on what i should do.
my trooper has 31s but im getting a 3inch lift soon so i need more power for the bigger tires. Im going to shave the fender wells as well, i built my own roof rack and put 4 kc day lighters on the top.

You can swap over the 3.1 from a trooper but it'll be a lot of work since you'll need to swap over the wiring harness too. Not saying it can't be done though. Lots of guys upgrade their 3.1s to the Camaro 3.4. If you're going through the trouble of swapping in a V6, you might want to consider a 4.3 out of a Blazer.
