I've been reading 4 Wheel and Off Road for many years now, and I have to say I've always been fascinated by the various project trucks that are built for the annual Ultimate Adventure. Given the recent advancements in IFS tech and their popularity due to competitions like King of the Hammers, I'd like to suggest that the next project truck be built retaining an independent front suspension. Perhaps using a Tacoma or Ranger or other small truck, I'd really like to see it built up as a type of cross-over off roader - something that can handle whoops through the desert at speed while still being able to hold it's own on trails. Anyone else think that would make for an interesting, unique project?

Or, perhaps even more of a pipe dream, I wouldn't mind seeing a build up of a 2011 Grand Cherokee - retaining the independent suspension systems, of course...
