88 sierra 2500 4hi not engaging

Just got the truck it's got a four inch rancho lift an the bulbs on 4x4 shifter were missing so I replaced them I attempted 4 hi it wouldnt engage and no noise no light but 4 lo works fine but the light won't come on I'm not sure If the tcase is cooked or it's electrical help me before I send it to a shop
