New Member: Need some Shock advice

Hey there forum!

I am new to this forum and joined to gain some knowledge and experience before making a few purchases.

To be quick: I have a 2001 Ford F250 Diesel Superduty with a 5.5" Fabtech Lift (leafs & blocks). I recently got rid of my original tire package (20" wheels, 35" M/T ATZ Radial SLTs) and just had my truck restored (new paint, underbody).

I have misplaced my original fabtech shocks (basic shocks - not dirt logic) and am looking to make some ride upgrades. My truck rode very rough before with the old tire setup, and i am planning on a 20" wheel x 36/37" tire package in the very near future. What i really want is to improve the softness of my ride without having to spend big dough on a new suspension lift (coilovers,etc,etc) i would like to keep my current lift, and try to improve the ride by new shocks.

Will shocks alone improve the ride? Make it softer? more flex?

What are my best options for brands? i have looked into the dualshock dirt logic setup by fabtech, but the price points arent the greatest.

Any advice is good advice...
