74 Scout II vs. 85 dodge ramcharger

Ive got a 1985 4 speed Dodge Ramcharger with just over 90,000 original miles that is my first truck and I love it. The 4 wheel drive works great, but I'm just concerned it's too big and heavy. I recently just bought a 1974 scout II with 67,000 original miles. It drives good and it is also a four speed. Ive heard that scouts are better for off road use. I just want to get opinions on which vehicle would be better suited for general off road use( mud, trails, minor rocks)
