A 73+ frame better then a 72 and older frame?

i have been looking around for a truck to buy or trade for and i have been wandering which generation has a stronger frame the 67-72 or 73-87? one thing i have noticed is the 67072 trucks seem to be more rigid and less frame frame flex so any info would be greatly appreciated.
