4x4 ticking noise z71

Hey guys, I would really appreciate if anyone could give me and idea on possibilities of what is wrong with my truck. I have a 2007 z71 and a few days ago went to pull some buds off a pipeline. After jerking forward and back with my 4wd engaged, my front suddenly stopped pulling and all we could hear was a ticking noise in the left front. Now even without 4x4 engaged I can hear It On the road. I'm kind of new and still learning all this so I've been looking somewhere to ask about it, thanks

Maybe cv axle or diff actuator . Check if cv boot is ripped and for play
