Lifting my truck.

I have a 1980 Ford F250, with a 5.0L 302. I have Dana 60 solid front axle, and rear axle. I'm currently in the process of removing the old Leaf springs and cleaning up the frame and body. I may be dropping in a 7.5L 460, but am undetermined on this, due to the Fact I have yet been unable to find a manual transmission for it...
As for the lift, I was thinking of doing a 6" Leafspring Lift through Summit, but I really want to go bigger. I've seen some good size leaf spring lifts, but I am unable to locate the dealer or dealers of such leaf springs.
And what else should I be looking for in order to make a good size lift work? Would the angle of the Driveline be too excessive with anything more than a 6" lift? If so, would cutting the Leaf Spring bases on the axle and adjusting them to fit the angle be recommended?
Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, NeverFinished

i'm no professional, but i've heard of people adjusting the axle spring perches to make a better angle. The other thing i've seen is divorcing the Transfer case, and mounting it lower like they did on the highboys. But the process is unknown to me.
