76 k20 with cad 500?

hey i have a 76 k20 and just picked up a caddy 500 with a th400 trans, the truck have been converted to a stick. i know that the cad engine is a b.o.p. and they haven't had a 4x4, what do i need to make it work, i would like to keep it stick but i can just as easy go back to auto if needed.  
if you don't want to go for broke then don't leave the yard.
