off road video contest?

I've been lurking this forum for awhile now and finally decided to sign up. I go to community college here in Paso Robles and I was lucky to score an internship at Lazer Star Lights in Paso Robles. I pitched the idea of a video contest to try to get users to post videos of their lighting set-ups. Do you guys think this is a good idea? What are some ways I can promote the contest to core off-road junkies?
