79 k10 chevy pickup restore.

I have a 79 K10 chevy pickup that I am fixin to restore in the near future. It has a 350 engine and transmision with the 203NP transfer case. I am concidering installing a 700R4 in place of the 350 transmission. I only use truck to go to work and to pull a bass boat. I will be using truck to make long hauls to fishing holes. I have owned truck since new. It has 165,000 miles on her. She is in fair shape for her age. I am still driveing truck daily. The engine and body could use some help. I am going to take truck down to the frame and rebuild from the ground up. Would like to install highway gears, increase HP on engine a little.

I would like to know what is needed for me to make the tranmission swap and any other information that I might could use.
