Lifting My 92 chevy

I have a 1992 4x4 chevy 1500 ext. cab pickup that
I want to lift. I wanna know if there is anything extra I need besides the lift kit to do it. A buddy of mine lifted his 95 wrangler and besides the lift kit he needed a slipyolk eliminator. Has anyone here lifted a 92 chevy pickup and if so can you help so I know what all I need to get?
