best Dodge Ram to modify

hey guys first post here I am looking at purchasing a 1996 or newer dodge ram either 1500 or 2500 I want it to be a good mud/light wheeling rig. I want a rig that is easliy able to find after market parts like winch bumpers, lift kits, ect. Let me know what you all think.

the newer dodgerams have more options for modification, but the older ones are easier because you don't have to deal with all the electrical

I'm running a 2008 Dodge Ram 2500 single cab, 6" super lift suspension lift, 2" body lift, V8 Hemi, 37x12.50x17 Nitto Trail Grapplers. Very strong, easy to do the work.
