limited slip for the front differential?

I have a 1985 chevy 4x4 truck...12 bolt rearend 10 bolt front end. I want to install a limited slip carrier in the front dfferential. Will this work ,,does any one see any problems.. I want to make this truck unstoppable in snow. thanks

On road or off?
Off-road a select-able locker would be your top choice. On, road, probably open is best up front.
